Today as I was reading about EMR and preparing an EMR research paper I’m doing for one of my classes I came across a great quote by paulc over on EMR Update.
Choosing an EMR is like getting married:
Unless you make a really lousy choice, you will be happier than before.. It can take as long to find an EMR as a spouse, and it’s a huge deal to divorce your EMR and wed another. I’m still waiting to see if I have a midlife crisis with my EMR.
I couldn’t agree more!! Good luck finding your spouse EMR.
How comical.
So true man. In talking with groups, I’ve always been very clear that the selection process is half the software, and half the company. Because even if you love the software, a bad/unstable company can ruin it, and divorce is ugly, expensive, and time consuming.
Nice blog.
