Sr. IT Project Manager

  • Manages the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of small, medium, or large-scale projects from inception through production delivery; may include managing multiple projects concurrently and drives them to successful completion
  • Collaborate with management, IT teams, business teams, engineers, financial, and vendor/contract resources to determine the project scope (requirements), cost estimates, resource requirements, and schedule to develop the project plan and budget
  • Develop, manage, track, and maintain the project plan: team member tasks, broader team communications, risks, issues, schedule, financials (budget, forecasts, and actuals), project conflicts, and overall quality project delivery through all project phases
  • IT operation, policies, and procedures- establish and maintain
  • Minimizes our exposure and risk across multiple projects
  • Manages scope and mitigates risk across projects
  • Produces regular status reports and facilitates recurring status meetings
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of current infrastructure technologies and future trends

Position Requirements and Qualifications

  • Managed multiple medium to large scale IT Infrastructure project implementations (required)
  • Demonstrated understanding of managed network appliances, servers/virtual machines, data storage units, firewalls, operating systems, applications, monitoring tools, and security/IT controls (required)
  • Multiple project management methodologies (Waterfall SDLC, Agile, Scrum, etc.)
  • Experience with ServiceNow
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and certifications preferred
  • PMP Certification is preferred
  • Strong project management, analytical, organization, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Effective cross-team collaboration and meeting facilitation skills
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated aptitude for communicating with a wide range of resources – from technicians to senior/executive management
  • Demonstrated proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word, etc.) and the ability to select the proper tool for managing a project and effectively communicating project status in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner
  • Calm under pressure, objective and diplomatic
  • Team player & leader with a customer and solution-oriented focus
  • Strong communication skills
