Time for some more fun this Friday as we head into the weekend. We’re back with another Dr. Glaumcomflecken edition of Fun Friday. For those following along at home, we’ve shared some of his humor before and even mentioned his cardiac arrest as well. The good news is that he seems to be doing well at least based on his Twitter and TikTok activity. He event shared this heartwarming Twitter thread:
Now almost 3 months, hundreds of tweets and 1 electric bra later, I was finally able to meet the EMTs, firefighters, and call operators who responded that night and hear about their experience

How great is it that he was able to go and thank so many of the people that were there to save his life?
Since his health issues, he’s really been going all out on TikTok with short videos. Here’s an example:

And this related tweet:
Sometimes I think about how excited I’d get in med school when the smartest rheumatologist and the smartest nephrologist in the hospital would start arguing during a conference and then I think how incredibly lame my 20s were

Rumors are swirling that TikTok is going to be shut down in the US over privacy concerns, but don’t worry about Dr. Glaucomflecken. He’s got a plan:
I am not worried at all about losing tiktok. I have a back up plan that will allow me to continue wasting as much time as possible.

I’m not sure how comforting this is to those who use an EHR, but it is pretty funny to consider:
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about mortality and my place in history and I guess what I’m saying is, it’s comforting to know my memory will live forever in the form of CPRS progress notes at the VA from 2011-2017

Finally, this will make you laugh if it doesn’t make you cry.

The only thing missing was any reference to the patient portal. I’m pretty sure that should have been included. Maybe he’ll do a tech version in the future.
Thanks everyone for reading and have a great weekend!
