Every once in a while, I like to look back at all we’ve accomplished at Healthcare IT Today. This year we’re approaching the 15th anniversary of Healthcare IT Today (we’re going to need a big party to celebrate this in December) where we’ve already published ~14,000 articles. It’s hard to believe a blog I started on a whim while working at UNLV implementing EHR would have grown to the success that it is today with and audience of over 150,000 across email, social, etc.
While COVID-19 has definitely been a challenge for us as conferences have been cancelled or postponed including our own conferences, there have been a lot of bright spots. In case you missed our virtual meetups, we’ve loved being able to learn from a wide variety of experts and you as a community who participated. Looking ahead, there will be more virtual meetups and full virtual Health IT conferences in our future. Watch for more details on EXPO.health as we finalize the details and announce our creative approaches to well produced content, connection with peers, and fun.
I’d be remiss to not send a special thank you to all those companies that sponsor the work we do at Healthcare IT Today. We work hard to be great partners, and we feel lucky to have so many great sponsors who took part in our Pay-HIT-Forward program (discounted packages with guaranteed results still available through July).
If you work in health IT, take a second to browse the list of companies that took part in our Pay-HIT-Forward program. We highlight some of the ways these companies can help you and your organization. If you enjoy the content we create, we appreciate you taking the time to look at our sponsors and see if they have something that can benefit you and your organization.
Also, it’s been really fun to be able to feature so many great companies and healthcare leaders in our effort to do 100 interviews in 100 days. I’m not sure we’ll quite do all 100 interviews in the 100 days, but we’re more than half way through the interviews and we’ll be sure to reach 100 as quick as we can. Hopefully you’ve learned as much about what’s happening in health IT as we have from these interviews. If you want to be the first to know about these, be sure to subscribe to the Healthcare IT Today YouTube channel. Plus, a little birdy told me they’ll be published in podcast form very soon.
No doubt, we’re all facing challenging times personally and professionally. While that’s true, we still believe at our core that technology can have an influence for good on healthcare. That’s what we believe at our core and we’re excited to continue bringing you the latest healthcare and health IT news that can help you and your healthcare organization.
If you have any suggestions on things we can do better or ways we can help, be sure to reach out to us on our contact us page. We love heard from readers and deeply appreciate all your support.
