We’ve all seen the explosion of virtual visits in healthcare. We’re also going to see the return to in person visits. No one is predicting a return to the largely in person patient visit world we lived in before COVID-19. How many virtual visits last post-COVID-19 remains to be seen, but one thing that isn’t up for debate is that most organizations are going to be living in a new hybrid patient care world that includes virtual visits and in person visits at the office.
As we grapple with this new world of hybrid patient care, I sat down with Josh Weiner, President and CEO of Solutionreach, to get his thoughts on what this world will look like. Plus, we dive into the ideal workflow in this new hybrid world and some of the nuances that are going to have to be considered as medical practices and hospitals adapt to these changes.
We also look at some of the not so great workflow experiences we had amidst the rush to telehealth and how we can learn from those bad experiences. Finally, Josh and I have a discussion about whether the ideal workflow scales to all of healthcare (rural/urban, rich/poverty, generational, etc)?
