Telehealth Platforms and Features – #HITsm Chat Topic

We’re excited to share the topic and questions for this week’s #HITsm chat happening Friday, 4/24 at Noon ET (9 AM PT). This week’s chat will be hosted by John Lynn (@techguy) from Healthcare Scene on the topic of “Telehealth Platforms and Features“.

We don’t really need to highlight that Telehealth and Telemedicine are seeing massive growth thanks to COVID-19 and the stay-at-home social distancing orders that have happened.  It’s more than fair to say that telehealth is now seeing its inflection point in a kind of unfortunate way.  That said, it definitely seems like telehealth is here to stay.

Given the rapid adoption of telehealth, we wanted to do a series of #HITsm Twitter chats that looks at many of the nuances related to telehealth so that we can start to better understand what telehealth platforms are standing out and what features help to improve a telehealth implementation.  That will be the discussion for this week.

In future chats we want to talk about how telehealth has impacted patient marketing efforts.  We also want to look at best practices for implementing a telehealth solution and for making the most of the visit.  We’ll dive into the crazy and quickly changing world of telehealth reimbursement.  We have to talk about the privacy and security implications of telehealth.  Not to mention the changing regulations related to telehealth.

Side Note: If you’d like to lead the discussion on one of these other topics, just let us know on our contact us page.

Join us for this week’s #HITsm chat where we’ll be discussing the various telehealth platforms and features.

Topics for this week’s #HITsm Chat:

T1: How do you look at the telehealth market? (video, text, asynchronous, live, EHR integrated, standalone, ambulatory, hospital, consumer, etc) And more importantly, how will this market play out? #HITsm
