Healthcare in 2 Cartoons – Fun Friday

The new year has begun. Hopefully you’ve had a great start to 2020. I’m excited for what 2020 has to offer. However, today I came across two cartoons that seemed to illustrate some of the things I see happening in healthcare. These cartoons aren’t healthcare related, but if you work in healthcare, you’ve probably seen situations like this in your career. So, I think you’ll appreciate the humor and relate to the cartoons.

I’ve worked with a lot of really smart and gifted people that are trying to push when the sign clearly says to pull. Have you?

I won’t comment on climate change and climate change policy, but it was interesting that one journalist this week asked if we should be talking more about climate change in healthcare since it’s a potential health issue. That aside, I’m sure many healthcare leaders can relate to this. They put out fires and more fires are being started. Whether it’s the policies created like this cartoon illustrates or even just the passage of time which makes IT systems old. It’s a challenge to work in healthcare IT and keep up.
