AI & Tech vs Man Power in EHR Implementations – #HITsm Chat Topic

We’re excited to share the topic and questions for this week’s #HITsm chat happening Friday, 10/4 at Noon ET (9 AM PT). This week’s chat will be hosted by Greg Goodale (@gjgoodale) and Dalton Patterson (@MrDollyPat) from @TrustHCS on the topic “AI & Tech vs Man Power in EHR Implementations”.

The healthcare industry has seen a massive amount of change since the hard push for EHR that began in 2004. For 15 years we’ve seen the advancement of HIT and the reduction and, in some cases, disappearance of certain roles in healthcare. Combined with a growing focus on AI, we all want to know, “How will the AI/Tech vs. Man Power matchup end when related to EHR implementation?”

From the work needed in post go-live, the transition steps completed during go-live, and the on-going system management and adjustments in post go-live; both technology and people have their roles. We want to know what great minds in the industry think those roles will be! During this week’s tweet chat we want to engage to explore – What personnel is underrated in an implementation? Where is human involvement prioritized, shifting, or diminishing? Where is human involvement always going to be required? Where is AI going to change the EHR implementation the most?

Having been the professional muscle often needed to support revenue cycle through EHR transitions, TrustHCS wants to hear from you on how far technology can be expected to go when it comes to streamlining major technology changes in healthcare.

Topics for this week’s #HITsm Chat:

T1: Where will EHR implementation always require people? #HITsm

T2: Where should we be making investments in AI regarding EHR implementations? #HITsm
