We’re excited to share the topic and questions for this week’s #HITsm chat happening Friday, 6/7 at Noon ET (9 AM PT). This week’s chat will be hosted by Taylor Madsen (@MTaylorMadsen) on the topic of “#HealthIT Replacement Trends”.
The Greek philosopher Heraclitus once said “The only thing that is constant is change.” Well, when it comes to healthcare, we’ve got change in spades. In recent years, we’ve witnessed a spate of provider consolidation and healthcare technology company consolidation. Provider organizations know better than anyone that consolidation is just one of many forces pushing provider orgs to spend or even re-spend on their technology solutions.
There are a lot of pressures driving these changes in healthcare. At this week’s #HITsm chat, we’ll discuss what’s pushing these technology changes, when it’s appropriate to replace your old technologies, and look at the future of technology replacement in healthcare.
We hope you’ll join us as we discuss health IT technology replacements.
Here is the list of questions for the chat.
Topics for this week’s #HITsm Chat:
T1: Why is technology replacement occurring in healthcare? #HITsm
T2: Which technologies make the most sense for healthcare providers to take a serious look at replacing? #HITsm
T3: When does it make sense for a healthcare organization to replace a given technology? #HITsm
T4: While technology advances are a good thing, are there too many “gimmick” technologies in healthcare right now? #HITsm
T5: Are there too many, too few, or the right amount of #HealthIT vendors per some of the main technologies? #HITsm
Bonus: Why does consolidation among #HealthIT vendors and providers seem to be the new norm? #HITsm
