Ted Talk Parody – Fun Friday

If you’re like me, you love a good Ted Talk. That said, Ted has gotten so good at what they do that it has gotten a bit formulaic. In some ways, that’s a really good thing, but it also can be a little too predictable. For our Fun Friday, it just makes for some good humor to start your weekend off right (and can teach you some speaking ideas to consider).

This video seemed especially appropriate as we get closer to the big HIMSS conference in Orlando (Be sure to check out our list of HIMSS19 meetups). I could see someone doing a parody of HIMSS presentations as well. They aren’t as formulaic, but they definitely have a similar pattern.

When I go to a conference, I enjoy a great speaker, but I always push for human engagement. You can’t really script human engagement and the unscripted is where I find some of my biggest inspirations. That’s what I’ll be focusing on as we head into HIMSS and all the other health IT conferences this year.
