All of healthcare has been hit with the MACRA legislation and many talking heads are saying that MACRA is going to be a challenge for small practices. In this discussion, we’ll talk about how small practices can thrive within the changes that MACRA provides.

How can small practices thrive with MACRA?
Easy answer, they can’t.
I may watch the show, but in reality, these vendors can only hope that providers don’t quit everything. Its looking very ominous out here now. We are to expect vendors to address our usability and efficiency issues when they are hammered with this type of complex regulations and exceedingly short timelines? The EHR industry is doomed, and those that stay in the game trying to hamster wheel the constant regulatory changes all the while not listening to the needs of actual providers, its going to end, and end badly. I know they will all say, we are listening to providers, but in reality, they are not, they can’t they always fall back to the standard, well because of MU, ACI, PQRS, etc, they can’t do what we need. Or be in danger of loss of certification, etc. Its a nightmare out here. EHR vendors are in a tough spot, but its not getting better out here.
