When Healthcare and Computer Science Collide Infographic

We’ve often talked about the tech world and the healthcare world and how they’re colliding all over the place in healthcare. We’ve had many discussions whether it’s easier to train someone from computer science or data analytics about healthcare or if it’s easier to train someone who knows healthcare about computer science and data analytics.

The reality is that we’re going to have a mix of people coming from both directions and participating in healthcare IT. This was never clearer to me than when I read this infographic by UIC Health Informatics that looks at the intersection of Healthcare and Computer Science. The real message is that we’re going to need both, so we better build a capability to bridge the divide in both directions.
