This month, we’ve lined up a series of four 30-minute Webinars with 4Medapproved, each featuring an overview of one of their online HIT courses. In case you’re not familiar with 4Med, their online curriculum is designed to meet the needs of busy professionals for education in Health IT, HIPAA compliance, Meaningful Use, EHR proficiency, and more. 4Med courses are entirely online and self-paced, incorporating text lessons, multimedia content, assessments, and hands-on practice sessions using a live, certified EHR solution.
The first Webinar focused 4Med’s ICD-10-CM CICP course, which covers the key changes in coding with the implementation of ICD-10-CM Diagnostic Coding. The course enables coders and others responsible for coding to translate their knowledge of ICD-9-CM to the new version of the classification system. The second Webinar was just this week, and featured 4Med’s HIPAA and HIT Security courses. These courses provide comprehensive training in HIPAA for business associates, security officers, and medical staff managers. Detailed lessons describe every aspect of HIPAA compliance, including the Privacy and Security rules, regulatory changes brought by the HITECH Act and Omnibus Final Rule of 2013, requirements for business associates, and more.
