I recently got an email about a company called NoteSwift that acts as a bridge between Dragon Medical voice recognition and an EHR. The biggest challenge with voice recognition and EHR is integrating the two. When the integration is done right, it can work really well. When an EHR vendor just takes what comes by default, it’s usually a poor experience. NoteSwift is trying to help solve this issue.
The following video is a good example of NoteSwift and EHR voice recognition in action. There’s still a decent learning curve to get up to speed using voice recognition in your office. Although, the demo of where you could get combining voice recognition with EHR software is quite impressive.
