Cleveland Clinic CFO Joins Explorys’ Board of Directors

Steven Glass Brings Strategic Vision, Healthcare Financial Expertise to Leading Big Data Analytics Company

Cleveland, OH — May 30, 2013 — Explorys, the leader in big data-driven healthcare transformation, today announced that Steven C. Glass, Chief Financial Officer of Cleveland Clinic, has been appointed to its Board of Directors where he will bring his experience in healthcare finance to provide financial and operational counsel to the company. Glass’ experience managing the financial operations of healthcare provider organizations will be invaluable to Explorys as it continues its growth trajectory: Explorys has added four new customers to its national network over the past twelve months, which currently consists of fourteen IDNs, 200 hospitals, and over 100,000 providers. Glass replaces Chris Coburn, former director of Cleveland Clinic Innovations who served on the Explorys Board of Directors since October 2009.

Glass joined the Cleveland Clinic in 2002 as the Controller and Chief Accounting Officer and served in that role until 2005, when he assumed the CFO position.  Glass is responsible for the financial management of the Cleveland Clinic Health System which includes ten hospitals in Ohio, one hospital in Florida, outpatient operations in Las Vegas and Toronto, and a 3,000 physician practice group operating across those markets. Prior to joining the Cleveland Clinic, Glass spent fourteen years with MedStar Health, serving in various roles during its growth through mergers and acquisitions.

Glass received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Towson University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Accountants, Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, Healthcare Financial Management Association, and the Health Management Academy.
