Dr. Russell Richmond Joins Explorys’ Board of Directors

Healthcare Industry Veteran Brings Extensive Clinical and Analytics Expertise to Leading Big Data Analytics Company

Cleveland, OH — May 28, 2013 — Explorys, the leader in big data-driven healthcare transformation, today announced that Dr. Russell Richmond, CEO of Objective Health, has joined its Board of Directors where he will leverage his expertise as a physician and healthcare technology entrepreneur to provide strategic counsel to the company. Over the past twelve months, Explorys has been experiencing unprecedented growth, adding four new customers to its national network, which currently consists of 14 IDNs, 200 hospitals, and over 100,000 providers.

Dr. Richmond has expertise in the healthcare provider market, with a focus on healthcare reform, population health, and risk management.  His experience includes building large data-analytics companies such as Objective Health, Verisk Health, and D2Hawkeye, as well as counseling CEO’s of large provider and payor organizations as a management consultant. At Objective Health, Dr. Richmond and his team built the company’s solution for reducing health system’s costs, which impacted over 400 hospitals.  Dr. Richmond also led Verisk Health and D2Hawkeye from the early stages into significant subscription revenue businesses.  Prior to D2Hawkeye, Dr. Richmond advised health system CEO’s on strategy and operations as a McKinsey consultant, spending nearly six years in McKinsey’s Boston and Detroit offices.  Dr. Richmond holds a MD from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Michigan.
