How would you suggest I get the most info, in the shortest time, on the topic “clinical performance outcome improvement”?
Al McNichol,
That’s a pretty large topic area that includes most things. So, I’m not sure I have a good answer for you.
More specifically how can EHRs contribute to clinical performance outcome improvement. I suppose all the top EHR vendors are likely to develop trends related to being able to track clinical quality outcomes.
Right now they’re all focused on the meaningful use clinical quality measures. I’m not sure how many are able to work on anything beyond those.
My searches have faltered, but I am certain you have written on this “clinical quality measures” topic. Can you help me find the discussion threads already existing? Thanks.
Al,
I have written before, but nothing better than getting the regulations straight from the horses mouth: http://www.cms.gov/Regulations-and-Guidance/Legislation/EHRIncentivePrograms/ClinicalQualityMeasures.html
I hear ya. THANKS!
