Voalté’s Chips for Charity event during the HIMSS 2012 Conference in Las Vegas raised over $5,000 for hospital charities. Voalté invited four hospital executives from Sparrow Health System in Mason, Mich., St. James Mercy Health System in Hornell, N.Y. and Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Mo. to participate in a “Craps” game for their local hospital foundation. Voalté donated each player’s winnings plus $1,000.
Hospital foundations benefit from Voalté’s Chips for Charity event
SARASOTA, Fla. (Feb. 29, 2012)- Voalté, the leader in innovative mobile clinical communications technology and software for healthcare institutions, announced its Chips for Charity event raised $5,362 for hospital charities during the HIMSS 2012 Annual Conference and Exhibition in Las Vegas.
Voalté added a bit of fun and flair to HIMSS 2012 by encouraging hospital executives to join in on a game of Craps to help raise money for their hospital foundation.
Voalté donated participants’ winnings plus an additional $1,000 to each of their hospital charities. The participants and the health foundations include:
- Patrick Hale, Chief Technology Officer, Sparrow Foundation, Mason, Mich.
- Karthik Ramachandran, Director of Technical Services and Enterprise Architecture, Sparrow Foundation, Mason, Mich.
- Bonnie Welch, Chief Information Officer, St. James Mercy Foundation, Hornell, N.Y.
- Scott Poest, Chief Information Officer, Lake Regional Health System Foundation, Osage Beach, Mo.
The amount donated was based on the results of a Craps game played among hospital executives who registered for the Chips for Charity event. Game participants were chosen from a drawing the day of the game.
