To support both job seekers and employers, HIMSS and the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration (ASHHRA) will collaborate to advance health IT workforce initiatives expected to grow in the next several years. The collaboration will involve HIMSS and ASHHRA sharing links, resources and white papers on the website of each organization.
HIMSS Senior Director, Career Services Helen Figge explained the collaboration with ASHHRA enhances both organizations’ ability to serve the various stakeholders in the health IT career process, from human resources teams to executives who have ties to HIMSS and are looking to fill health IT positions. This collaborative synergistic effort will help further communication between those seeking health IT positions and those seeking qualified health IT applicants, a familiar situation in today’s healthcare landscape.
