If you are interested in learning more about the field of nursing informatics, pull up a chair, get comfy, and follow this link for a chance to learn from an industry expert.  Shannon Pohl, RN, BSN, MS is a clinical informaticist with a variety of direct patient care, administrative, and project management experience in hospital, ambulatory, and community healthcare settings.  Her career focus is to integrate change management strategies, workflow assessments, quality data reporting, and best-practice guidelines to best serve users of electronic health records, healthcare organizations, and patients.

Currently, Shannon works as a Clinical Informatics/Implementation for the Alliance of Chicago Community Health Services, a health center-controlled network of community health center and Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs).  She has a BSN from the University of Michigan, a MS in Health Informatics from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), and a Master’s Certificate in Nursing Administration from UIC.
