Some good advice and scary thought that all the EMR and EHR vendors’ R&D is going to meaningful use.

Definitely better to invest up front. Sadly, our society seems to be all about the immediate result and not the long term investment.

  • Tweet #1: Seems to be a little late to now be putting R&D into MU.

Tweet #2: Completely obvious to anyone who has ever dealt with an implementation. I always recommend to NOT go live, no matter what until you are 100% happy with customization.

    Otherwise…it…will…never…get…finished…

  • A lot of R&D money will continue to get pumped into MU for 2 more stages. There might be a slight reprieve for the next year while we wait for the MU stage 2 details.
