Savings from Free EHR Software

“Practice Fusion users have saved an estimated minimum of $57 million collectively, by using the free EMR.”

I just got this in my email and it caught my eye. Of course, there’s certainly a lot of ways to play with the numbers. For example, active users, cost of EMR software, etc. However, word is they’re releasing a calculator for it. I’ll be interested to see it when it comes out.

  • It’s amazing to me that there are so many people that pay for an EMR when there are great solutions available for free, often open sourced. The free version can be a bit limited, but I believe that $57 M, over many companies of course, could be saved.
