Meaningful Use Resource

I was recently happy to connect with the people behind a new Meaningful Use resource called They wisely chose to put links to my blogs in the upper left corner of the site. So it’s only fitting that I share their site with you and their story. Here it is:

I am taking a course in HIT funded by the HITECH Act. The teacher was
giving a lot of information (videos, links, webpages) and I was having
trouble keeping everything organized. My “FAVORITES” in Chrome was
like 100 items long. Since I have some experience with HTML, I decided
to put everything on a HTML page on my hard drive. Once I was studying
with a classmate and he saw me getting to all the information real
quickly, and he asked me to give him a copy of the code. Then another
classmate learned about it and requested a copy, too.

Then the idea was born that maybe a lot of people would be interested
in having quick access to all the important HITECH sites. I spoke with
my business partner and he gave me the green light. We tried to
buy the domain name, but it was already taken so
we went for ( We put the “MEANINGFUL” in
capitals the “use” in lower case and the “OK” in capitals to make it
easier to read. Since browsers are not case-sensitive, it works out

The basic idea is to save time to anybody interested in the HITECH Act.

The page reminds me a bit of what Yahoo looked like when it first started. I’ll be interested to see how this page evolves as the get more info and find more resources. I’m going to start teaching them about blogs and how they’re better than a static landing page like this;-)
