Albert Einstein Medical Center Implements Radiology and Pathology Search Engine from Montage

Organization saves hours of radiologist time and IT effort in querying reports for research,
education and clinical decision support.

Philadelphia, PA, November 29, 2010: Montage Healthcare Solutions, a privately-held company for enterprise search and performance analytics in radiology, announces a successful implementation and deployment of their data mining software at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In use since early October, the organization is already seeing dramatic time savings in the amount of time needed to evaluate whether clinical material warrants research studies, develop training materials, and identify case examples for radiology residents and fellows. The announcement was made by William Boonn, M.D., President, Montage Healthcare Solutions, Inc.

“In the past, a customized query would have to be created by a database administrator within the
radiology department for radiologists and residents to identify cases on specific diseases; we could
wait days or even weeks to receive the list of cases for review,” mentions Dr. Terry Matalon, Chairman
of Radiology at Albert Einstein Medical Center, part of the Albert Einstein Healthcare Network. “Now
we have near instantaneous access to all reports stored within our radiology information system (RIS)
through a simple, Google-like search,” Matalon concludes. “Montage delivers everything to our desktops
in a matter of seconds; we can run reports and research findings ourselves while cases are top-of-mind”.

Since the installation in early October, there have been no requests for customized research reports
from the radiology department. Radiologists, residents and IT experts all save time and effort with the
Montage tool.

Montage also queries pathology reports at Albert Einstein Medical Center and makes findings readily
available for comparison to radiology reports, a capability that is unique to Montage. This capability
helps to “close the loop” on radiology / pathology follow-up .

“We are extremely pleased to have Albert Einstein Medical Center as a client as they are consistently renowned for excellence in clinical radiology and educational programs,” mentions Boonn. The Montage Albert Einstein Medical Center Implements Montage system will be demonstrated during the Radiology Society of North America’s (RSNA’s) upcoming 96th Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting to be held November 28 – December 3, 2010 in Chicago, Illinois, Nuance Communications Booth, South Building Hall A, 4044.
