Little Black Book of Career Advice from 100 Influential Women

I’ve always been a strong advocate of the value of mentors – both having one and being one, when possible!  And I’m not alone – most successful men and women include strong mentors in their list of must-haves, including author and business coach Joe Lavelle, who blogged about the importance of mentoring a few months back.  So I was pleased to run across a kind of “Mentoring Manual” from Jones of New York, featuring sage advice from 100 Influential Women.  A quick read, the advice given from this diverse group of women is largely gender-neutral, so everyone can walk away with a personal gem or two, like this one from Maureen Dowd, columnist for The New York Times, “The minute you settle for less than you deserve, you get less than you settled for.”  Enjoy – here’s the link.
